Facility Questions

Q Are you always open? A Yes, all of our facilities are open 24/7, every day of the year. Q How often do your shuttles run? Where will they drop me off and pick me up? A At most of our locations under The Parking Spot brand, shuttles run every 5 to 7 minutes and will pick you up at your vehicle after you park. At our parking garages in Los Angeles and St. Louis, our shuttles will pick you up near the elevators on the ground level. At our locations offering valet service, guests will be directed to the nearby shuttle pick-up area by the valet attendant. At all facilities, the shuttles will take you right to your terminal at the airport.
When departing our facility for your trip, you will receive either a locator slip or valet ticket with airport pick-up instructions for your return.
Q When should I arrive at The Parking Spot? A Generally, we recommend arriving at our facility 15-20 minutes before you want to be at the airport. Due to market-specific traffic considerations, we recommend arriving 30 minutes before you want to be at the airport at DIA, DFW, IAH and LAX. Q Do you provide assistance for guests requiring accommodations due to a disability? A Yes, we have options available in order to provide equivalent services in the most integrated setting for guests requiring accommodations. Please contact the lot you are interested in directly to discuss which service will be the best fit for you. Contact information can be found through this link. Q How does valet work? A Valet parking is our parking service where we park your car for you so you can hop on a shuttle and get to the airport quicker. We will then prepare your car for you upon your return home to expedite the checkout process. Q You have multiple properties at some airports. How do the properties differ? A At airports with multiple properties, parking types, amenities, shuttle frequency and pricing may differ by location. Click here to select the airport you're flying out of on your next trip. You'll then be able to find our facility at that airport that best fits your travel plans! Q Do both of your locations in Atlanta go to the International Terminal? A If you are flying internationally, please go to The Parking Spot 1 on Camp Creek Parkway and enter the covered parking area upon arrival and follow the signs to the designated International Terminal parking spaces.
Due to the distance to the International Terminal, The Parking Spot 1 shuttles will depart on the hour and half hour continuously. Similar to domestic terminal service, a shuttle will drop you off at the departure area of the International Terminal so you can quickly catch your flight.
When you return to Atlanta, please call The Parking Spot 1 for pick-up at the International Terminal. The Parking Spot 1 shuttle will pick you up on the lower level under the "Park/Ride Shuttles – Orange 2" sign, which is right outside the A-1 doors. Shuttles will pick-up at the International Terminal approximately every 30 minutes.
Q If I fly out of one airport, but return to another, will your shuttle pick me up? A We have multiple facilities in some cities that also have multiple airports. These cities include Dallas and Houston. Our shuttles exclusively service the airport at which they are located. Click here to select the airport you're flying out of on your next trip. You'll then be able to find our facility at that airport that best fits your travel plans! Q What is the difference between Covered Parking and Premium Parking? A The new premium covered section is located closest to the exit for easy access in and out of the facility. Guests will receive priority drop-off upon returning from their trip, to be the first dropped off at their vehicles. We now offer Premium parking at our Atlanta, Orlando, St. Louis East, DFW and Kansas City locations.

Reservations

Q Do I need a reservation? A Reservations are strongly recommended, but they are not required if space is still available. Since some parking types have more limited availability than others, a reservation will guarantee the parking type of your choice (open-air, covered, valet, etc.) and the best rate. Reservations are particularly encouraged around major travel holidays. A reservation will always guarantee you the best price. Any price shown online requires a reservation.

Q How do you cancel or adjust a Pay Now reservation? A Pay Now reservations are non-refundable, cannot be canceled and you will not receive a credit. You will be able to change the dates, times, parking type and location on a Pay Now reservation 1hr prior to your check-in time. If modifications result in changes to the prepaid amount, the difference will be charged or credited to your original form of payment. No coupons are applicable to Pay Now reservations. Q What happens if I park at the wrong location or parking type with a Pay Now reservation? A Pay Now reservations can be used as a credit towards your total bill at checkout if you parked in the incorrect parking type or location. Q What happens if my flight is canceled with a Pay Now reservation? A If the airline has canceled your flight, please send your reservation number and the cancel notice from your airline to Reservations@theparkingspot.com. Q Can I change a Pay Later reservation to a Pay Now reservation? A Yes, you will need to cancel your current Pay Later reservation and remake it selecting the Pay Now option. Q What happens if I park longer than my Pay Now reservation? A At checkout, payment will be due for anytime parked past your reservation. Q Can I use a coupon at checkout with a Pay Now Reservation? A No, you will not be able to use a coupon with a Pay Now reservation. If you stay past your Pay Now reservation, you will be able to use a coupon on the extra days parked. Q How do I make a reservation? A Reservations may be made up until one hour prior to your arrival at our facility, provided space is still available. They can be made by clicking here. You will be asked to provide a credit card number for the $4.95 reservation fee, which covers the cost of holding your space open. However, Spot Club members will have the reservation free waived when logged into their account. To join the Spot Club, please click here

Q How do I change or cancel a Pay Later reservation? A First, click here to search for your reservation using your confirmation number or by signing in to your Spot Club account. You will then be able to change or cancel your Pay Later reservation. Pay Later reservations may be changed or canceled up to one hour prior to entry. Pay Now reservations may be changed only up to 1hr prior to entry. You will not be able to cancel a Pay Now reservation.
You can also cancel a Pay Later reservation using the Parking Spot App. Log in, tap on My Reservations, tap on the Pay Later reservation you would like to cancel, and then tap the Cancel Reservation button. Click here for more information about the Parking Spot App.

Q What is the Spot Club program? A The Spot Club program is The Parking Spot's loyalty program. Click here for more information on the Spot Club! Q Is there a fee to join the Spot Club? A No, the Spot Club program is free! Q How do I join the Spot Club? A The easiest way to join the Spot Club program is by clicking here from your desktop computer, or by downloading our free mobile app. Click here to learn more about our free mobile app. Q How do I view my point balance? A Log in to your Spot Club, and your points will be displayed on your Member Homepage. If you have not registered your Spot Club card yet, you can do so here.

Q Do I need to use my physical Spot Club card to get my points at checkout? A In order to receive points for your stay, you must use your Spot Club card at exit. Alternatively, at facilities with our new entry and exit equipment, you may use your virtual Spot Club QR code found within your Parking Spot App to enter and exit. To learn more about your virtual Spot Club QR code, please click here. Q I forgot to scan my Spot Club QR code at checkout. How do I receive credit? A Log in to your Spot Club account at the top of this page, then click on Account Settings. On the left side of your screen, select Missing Credits. Enter your ticket number in the text box that appears below the ticket graphic, entering only the digits that are highlighted in the graphic. Your account will be updated immediately.
You can also receive missing credit through the Parking Spot App. Log in, tap on My Account, tap on Request Missing Credits, and then follow the prompts on your phone for the points from your stay to be applied to your account.
Q Can I get a copy of my receipt? A You are given the option to reprint your receipts on the main page after you log in, under the Recent Transactions header.
If you do not have a Spot Club account, you will have to contact a manager at the facility you parked at for a copy of your receipt. Our managers can retrieve receipts up to 60 days from your exit date. You will need to provide the credit card number used at exit.
Q My Spot Club card is damaged, lost, or stolen. How can I get a new card? A Sign in to your Spot Club account at the top of this page, click Account Settings, and then on the left side, select Replacement Card. A replacement card will be mailed within 12-14 business days, and the points from your old card will be transferred automatically to the new one.
At facilities with our new entry and exit equipment, you can download the Parking Spot App as an alternative to having a physical card. Click here for more information.
Q How do I retrieve my password? A Click here to retrieve your password. Q Why is the amount paid different on my Spot Club account summary vs. my credit card statement? A Only your parking charge is eligible for Spot Club credit. Tax, fees, and car care services are not eligible, so your credit card charge may be higher. Q How do I manage my payment methods? A Log in to your account and click on Account Settings, then select My Payment Methods from the menu on the left side of your screen. From there, you can edit existing payment methods, add a new payment method, change your default payment method, or activate Mobile Fast Exit. Click here for more information about Mobile Fast Exit.
You can also update your payment methods by using the Parking Spot App. Log in, tap on Spot Club Account, and then tap on My Payment Method.
Q Do my Spot Club points ever expire? A Yes, your Spot Club points will expire if your account is completely inactive for 18 consecutive months, or after 90 days of inactivity on an unregistered Spot Club card. If your points have expired and you are interested in reactivating your Spot Club account, please contact us. Q How do I redeem points for free parking? A Sign in to your Spot Club account and select Redeem Points a yellow and black button under your point total on your Member Homepage. Choose your location as well as your dates and times of your entire trip and select the parking type. You will then be able click on the days you would like covered by your points. Then once you click Complete My Reservation, your award certificate will be generated immediately. A confirmation email will also be sent to you. *Points must be redeem prior to checking in for your stay. Once you have checked in, you will not have the option to redeem points. If you are parking at a facility with our new entry and exit equipment, then there is no need to print your award certificate! Simply scan your virtual Spot Club QR code at entry and exit. Spot Club Tiers

Q How do I qualify for the Gold or Platinum Elite Program? A Keep parking with us and using the Spot Club! Every January 1st, we’ll tally the number of stays and points you’ve earned the previous 12 months to see if you qualified for the elite status for the following 12 months. To qualify for:
  • Gold: stay with us at least 15 days AND earn at least 800 points in the previous 12 months.
  • Platinum: stay with us at least 40 days AND earn at least 3,700 points in the previous 12 months.
  • Our Elite Program is now base on days parked vs stays. In our old program, your activity for a “stay” would remain the same regardless of how many days you were away on your trip. For example, that 1 trip (regardless of how many days you were away) would be considered 1 stay. In our new program, you’ll get credit for each day you are traveling. So if your trip is 5 days, you earn 5 days parked or if it’s 10 days you’ll earn 10 days parked.
    Q How do I see what benefits I’ve earned? A First, make sure your Spot Club card is registered. If your Spot Club card is not registered, you cannot qualify for a tier. Once you are logged in to your Spot Club account, visit this link to see your rewards.
    You can also view your rewards on the Parking Spot App. Log in, tap on Spot Club Account, scroll down, and tap on the Spot Club graphic.
    Q Why are "My Redeemable Points" higher than my "Total Points Earned?" A Your "Total Points Earned" are only the points you earned in the current tier cycle (since January 1st). Also, we occasionally offer complimentary promotional points that may be used for free parking, however aren't considered "earned" points. Q Why are "My Redeemable Points" lower than my "Total Points Earned?" A Your "Total Points Earned" are only the points you earned in the current tier cycle (since January 1st). Also, once you redeem Spot Club points, those points will come out of your "My Redeemable Points" total, however not out of your "Total Points Earned" total. Q I qualified for a Spot Club Elite Program. When do I get my free day of parking for my anniversary? A Within 24 hours of the anniversary of the day you joined the Spot Club, you will see enough points deposited into your Spot Club account to redeem for one free day of parking. Q I qualified for the Spot Club Elite Program. How do I get my discount on car care? A Simply log in to your Spot Club account and add a car care service during the parking reservation process. Your discount will be automatically applied before prepayment is due. Note, you must purchase your car care service when you make your reservation for your discount to be applied. Q I am a gold or platinum Spot Club member. How do I redeem my Spot Club points for a free exterior hand car wash? A Log in to your Spot Club account and select "Redeem Points," a black button on the right-hand side of your member homepage. Begin the reservation process, and when you are prompted to add car care (where applicable), you will have the option to use points on a basic wash (one free wash per program year). Q I am a gold or platinum Spot Club member. How do access premier Guest Services support? A Log in to your Spot Club account, click on Support, then click on Contact Us. Your inquiry will be prioritized based on Elite status. Q Why are my status qualifying points different than my earned points? A Bonus points do not count towards your elite status qualification. Bonus points help you earn free parking faster! Q I am a platinum Spot Club member. What locations offer premium parking area upgrades? A Premium parking is currently available at The Parking Spot 1 in Atlanta, The Parking Spot PREMIUM at DFW, The Parking Spot in Orlando, and The Parking Spot East in St. Louis. Premium parking will become available at more facilities soon! Q Why am I earning 4 points instead of 5 points per $1? A We want to make it easier for you to redeem free parking, so we’ve adjusted our points system across all markets to lock-in rates. Redemption rates for each parking type and facility will now be locked in for the calendar year and will be displayed on your member dashboard making it easier to track points and days earned. Our general members will now earn 4 points per dollar, but we also reduced the number of points needed to redeem a free day of parking for specific parking types in each market. Your new member dashboard will make it easy for you to see how many free days you’ve earned at your preferred facility, and how many points are needed for all parking types in your market. Gold members will earn 5 points per dollar, a 25% bonus for every dollar spent. Platinum members will earn 6 points per dollar, a 50% bonus for every dollar spent. Q What will happen to my status from last year? A If you qualified for Silver, Gold, or Platinum prior to the end of the program year on January 31, 2020, your status will carry over to the 2020 program year. Since we have eliminated the Silver status level, all Silver members will be upgraded to Gold status. Gold and Platinum members will maintain their status earned, and will enjoy new upgraded benefits! Q What are the dates to qualify for status? A In an effort to simplify the program, we are shifting our program year to the calendar year (January – December). The program year will now begin in January. For this year ONLY, your January activity will count for both the 2019 and 2020 program years. Elite program qualification for the 2019 program year is between February 1, 2019-January 31, 2020. Moving forward, your earned status will now also be extended through January 31 of the next calendar year. That’s a bonus month of status benefits! Q Why did the car wash discount change? A While we still wanted to continue to offer this great benefit to our elite members, we needed to make adjustments to the discount due to increased operating costs. We still allow both our Gold and Platinum members to apply points toward 1 exterior car wash per year. Q How do I know how many points are required for a free day of parking? A We made enhancements to the look and feel of the Spot Club program, so you will no longer need to calculate how many points are needed for free parking! Redemption rates for each parking type and facility will now be locked in for the calendar year and will be displayed on your member dashboard making it easier to track points and days earned. Q I’m a Platinum member, do I need to make a reservation anymore? A Reservations are not required, but always recommended to guarantee a specific parking type and our best rate. In order to receive Premium upgrades you must reserve in advance. A new benefit for our Platinum members is that we will always find a space for your vehicle, even if you don’t make a reservation and our lot is full. We can’t guarantee a specific parking type, but we will find a space for your car.
