ABOUT DAL

Dallas-Love Field International Airport (DAL) is a city-owned public airport 6 miles northwest of downtown Dallas. The airport was named after Moss L. Love, a member of the U.S. Army’s 11th Cavalry. In 2019, over 16,780,000 passengers traveled through DAL.

Modernization of Love Field's terminals was announced in early 2009. The $519 million master plan replaced the existing terminal buildings with a single new 20-gate concourse.

Southwest Airlines maintains their corporate headquarters and an operating base at Love Field. They are the biggest airline to operate at DAL, but travelers can also fly Delta Air Lines, JSX, Alaska Airlines, and Taos Air.
