FastTrack PHL is NOW The Parking Spot! |
The Parking Spot to unveil new near-airport lot July 31, with improvements designed for passenger comfort and convenience
FastTrack at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) has been re-branded as The Parking Spot and is set to re-open July 31 with new signage and other improvements. Philadelphia joins other east coast locations – including three Newark (EWR) properties, and New York JFK – as part of the nation’s largest near-airport parking network. Major renovations and rebranding efforts have been made to achieve a new level of comfort and convenience for The Parking Spot customers.
"The Parking Spot has a loyal following among airport travelers,” said Mark P. Wildman, Senior Vice President of Marketing for The Parking Spot, “and we’re excited about re-branding and improving our Philadelphia location to offer a high level of service that is unmatched in our industry."
In 2010, as part of a deal to acquire the near-airport parking facilities formerly belonging to Parking Company of America Airports (PCAA), The Parking Spot took over management of the AviStar, FastTrack and SkyPark brands. Since the acquisition, The Parking Spot has begun upgrading the technology and infrastructure at these facilities to be on par with The Parking Spot’s existing locations.
At The Parking Spot, guests ride to and from the airport in the company’s distinctive yellow and black spotted shuttles, which pick up guests at their vehicles or valet lobbies and run continuously to the airport. Shuttle drivers offer complimentary luggage assistance on their departure and return. Additionally, guests are provided with a complimentary newspaper upon arrival and chilled bottled water at exit and may also join the Spot Club™, the industry’s most flexible airport parking rewards program that offers free parking with as few as seven paid days.
The Parking Spot Philadelphia – located at 7780 Essington Avenue in Philadelphia – features 1,052 open-air valet parking space and 1,046 self-park spaces. Renovations include new pavement, a new interior valet entry/drop-off location, shuttle bus pick-up and staging areas, lobby and office space renovations, a new self-park entry canopy and new lot lighting. In addition to property renovations, the majority of The Parking Spot’s shuttles are new, which will add a new level of comfort for passengers.
